L.I. - I can use a symetry and a variety of materials to create a 2D mosaic art.
This is a picture of the present I gave to my mom for mothers day. It is a frame with pieces of tiles. The first thing we had to do was find pieces of tiles and used a hammer to break them into smaller pieces. Then we used this special kind of paste that glued the tiles to the frame, the paste felt a bit like peanut butter. After all of the tiles were glued on we used grout. The grout felt really cool, it kind of had a sandy feel to it. We had to push the grout into the gaps between the tiles, but it was not the easiest job, we had to do it very slow and careful or else we could scratch our hands on the sharp tiles. Then as the grout was still wet we used a sponge to take the wet grout off of the top of the tiles. Then finally after the grout dried we scrubbed the film off of the tiles, and in the end the tiles were very clean and it turned out really great. My mom really liked it.
